Castle Grove Hotel
The main house was built in 1695 by the Grove family after the original was burned during the siege of 1690. A continual icon in history, Castle Grove hosted the introduction of Daniel O'Connell that led to him being elected MP and also had a big influence in the life of General Richard Montgomery, a famous soldier in the 1774 American War of Independence.
In 1989, Castle Grove became home to the Sweeney family who proudly transformed it into a luxury four star hotel, while preserving the character and beauty of the original house and expansive grounds. Castle Grove is the ideal venue for weddings, anniversaries and special occasions due to its privacy, grace and welcoming charm.
